Margaret Mantz is an Advanced Practice Nurse who provides support to outpatients of the Neurological Services Department, primarily focusing on patients with movement disorders, pain syndromes, and spinal disorders. Ms. Mantz works with Dr. Mammis and runs the Orofacial Pain Screening Clinic at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Ms. Mantz began her career at University Hospital in 2004 as a staff and charge nurse. Prior to her time in nursing, she worked as a dental assistant. Ms. Mantz obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Community and School Health from William Paterson University in 1993 and returned to school at Passaic County Community College in 2004 for her Associates Degree in Nursing. She later obtained a Master’s Degree in Nursing while completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Rutgers School of Nursing (formerly UMDNJ). She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed in New Jersey as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
